I was told I need to sign a contract before getting my home inspection done, is this standard practice?

Yes. The first step in any home inspection is to read and agree on the contract. As a courtesy, we have provided a sample contract here in PDF format. We have also provide the CAPHI Standards of Practice. for home inspection so you can become more familiar with the home inspection process. Please take your time to read these 2 documents carefully and in their entirety. Once you have reviewed and signed the contract, the home inspection process can start. If you have questions before, during or after the inspection, please contact your home inspector.
